Baggy book and Reading folders went home this week. Yeah! I wanted to give you an opportunity to start reading on a daily basis with your child on a leveled reading book. This week I will be testing your child on their reading levels and after that we will start reading groups in class when the testing is over. Reading with my students is one of my greatest joys as a teacher.

Don't you just love the reading logs? After you and your child read the leveled reader or a book of choice you write a summary sentence about the book. At the end of the year you will have a list of all the books you guys read. Can you imagine reading the summaries years later? Too cute.
