Week 12
Nov. 10 - 14
Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately. It can be windy on the playground.

Help! Help! We need your help! We are still in need of hand sanitizer. We go outside to recess right before lunch and our class ALWAYS uses hand sanitizer as we line up to go to lunch. I feel it is very important to have clean hands for lunch.

A few Helpful Hints!

High Frequency Words
Your child has a blue reading folder that comes home everyday with a list of sight words. If would benefit your child's reading fluency to practice the word lists. We practice the word lists on Friday with minute drills. I would like to see your child read the word list in one minute. Start with the first list and practice, make it fun. Celebrate as your child improves. When they can read the first list in a minute go to the next list.

Compu-Cat Fact Drills
Compu-Cat Fact drills are designed for your child to practice math addition and subtraction facts at there ability level. It is a simple system. Your child will take a 12 problem drill and if they miss a problem they take the test again and again until the get all the problems correct. Then they will move to the next quiz. When you see the half sheets coming home please review the problems.  I graph the quizzes.
