Timeline
Project
Dear parents,
This next week we will be learning about timelines in Social Studies. We would like the students to complete a timeline for a
home project. Please read below the directions. If you have any
questions please contact your child’s teacher.
Directions:
1. Choose a person to make a sequenced timeline
for. This person can be yourself, a family member, friend, or a famous person.
2.Research the life of this person. Use the
internet, books, or interview the person yourself. Find out important events
that occurred during this important person’s life.
3.Complete a timeline that sequences the events in
chronological order. This timeline can be created however you want. You can
make a visual display or use the timeline sheet provided. Please include at
least 5 important events in the person’s life. You can include more if you
would like. Important events must include date, short description, and picture.
Picture can be illustrated or you may use printed photographs.
So have fun and use your imagination! The timeline will be
due next Friday the 16th.
